GDPR
Last updated: 10 August 2026
GoLive is built to help you comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This page summarises our roles, the rights of individuals, and the safeguards we use. It complements our Privacy Policy.
Our roles
For your account and billing data, [Company legal name] acts as a data controller. For the content and any personal data inside the site you publish through us, we generally act as a data processor on your behalf, processing it only to provide the service and on your instructions.
Lawful bases
We process personal data under the bases set out in our Privacy Policy: performance of a contract, legitimate interests, legal obligation, and consent where required.
Your rights
- Access a copy of your personal data.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete data ("right to be forgotten"), where applicable.
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Data portability, where applicable.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these, email privacy@golive.example. We respond within the timeframes set by the GDPR. You may also complain to your national supervisory authority.
Subprocessors
We use a small set of providers to deliver the service, each engaged under appropriate data-protection terms:
- Domain registrars, for registering and transferring domains.
- Hosting and content-delivery providers, to run and serve your site.
- Our payment processor, to take and confirm payments.
- Our email provider, to send order and service messages.
A current list of subprocessors is available on request at privacy@golive.example.
EU data residency
You can choose Europe as your region so that your site and its data are hosted in EU regions. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy and to meet legal obligations. Provider and pricing records tied to your orders are retained for up to seven years from the last related transaction, after which the pricing and assigned-account details are removed.
Data breaches
If a personal data breach occurs that is likely to present a risk, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority and affected individuals as required by the GDPR, without undue delay.
Data processing agreement
If you use GoLive to publish personal data of others and need a data processing agreement (DPA), contact privacy@golive.example and we will provide one.
